Reputation identified as the most important factor when choosing a conveyancing solicitor
An SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) study has just been released which shows that only 6% of house buyers choose the cheapest solicitors when looking to instruct a law firm.
It also identified that it was the law firm’s reputation which they found to be the most important thing when choosing who will deal with their legal matters when buying a house. Almost 75% chose a conveyancer on the basis of a recommendation from an acquaintance or intermediary.
The research, titled ‘Price transparency in the legal services market’, shows the process people go through to choose their solicitor. Employing any legal service can involve a considerable financial investment so it is expected that people should do their research and shop around before committing to a law firm.
This is all good news for us at GA Solicitors as we believe that choosing the right firm is incredibly important. Picking a firm on a whim or based solely on price could end up with costly consequences and much more stress in the longer term.
