GA Solicitors Accredited by Conveyancing Quality Scheme for 14th consecutive year
We are pleased to confirm that our award-winning residential team has achieved the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation for the 14th year running.
The well-regarded scheme requires law firms to undergo a rigorous assessment of both the firm’s systems and its conveyancing processes, along with regular and compulsory training. Achieving the CQS accreditation represents the gold standard in residential conveyancing, proving that a firm is fully competent and committed to best practice. It certifies that:
- GA Solicitors has the expertise to deliver top-quality residential conveyancing advice
- Wherever possible, we use standardised processes to manage and reduce risks
- We are transparent in our pricing and educate clients about what to expect when paying for conveyancing services
What is the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)?
The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. The aim of the scheme is to provide a trusted community of qualified conveyancers that would deter fraud and within which competence, standards and client service levels would be enhanced.
Why is the Conveyancing Quality Scheme important?
Being accredited helps show that a firm is trustworthy to everyone involved, regulators, lenders, insurers, and even homebuyers and sellers. It also means clients get clear, straightforward information from the start about how the conveyancing process works, what their options are, the costs, and how long things might take.
This level of transparency helps reduce uncertainty and minimise the stress often associated with buying or selling a home.
The CQS client charter
The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) client charter is there to let you know exactly what to expect when you work with a CQS-accredited firm. It’s GA Solicitors’ way of promising to:
- Treat you fairly
- Be polite and professional
- Respond promptly to your enquiries
- Tell you about any problems as soon as we are aware of them
- Ask for your feedback on our service
In addition, the accreditation confirms that GA’s conveyancing solicitors in Plymouth are committed to ongoing training and professional development, ensuring the team has the knowledge and skills needed to identify and manage potential risks throughout the conveyancing process.
Partner and head of residential conveyancing, Becky Bromfield, said “To hold this accreditation for 14 years is no mean feat. We have to consistently work hard to show we offer the best in both legal advice and client service.
“Staying compliant with the highest industry standards is something we take great pride in, and this reassures our clients that they are in safe hands every time they instruct us.”
David Wallis, manager partner of GA Solicitors, also commented “The CQS process is intensive and scrutinises many of our practices. Similar to our Lexcel accreditation, we must show that we reduce risks for our clients and provide excellent client service, legal advice and value. Well done to Becky and her team for not only having strict processes in place, but for also standing by them and the core values behind both CQS and GA Solicitors.”
