GA Solicitors is a Guiding Light to St Luke’s Hospice
As a long term supporter of St Luke’s Hospice, we are delighted to announce that we are an official sponsor of the regional charity’s impressive Guiding Lights exhibition this summer.
The Guiding Lights trail will see more than 30 large lighthouse sculptures, featuring individually designed artwork by local and national artists, weave their way across Plymouth’s city centre, waterfront and surrounding areas, throughout the summer of 2026. Visitors and locals alike will be able to download a dedicated app on their phone and follow the trail, ticking off each lighthouse as they go by scanning a unique QR code.
Running concurrently with the main trail, will be St Luke’s roaming lighthouse exhibition. This exhibition will see ten smaller lighthouses, each at around 1m high, travel to different locations across Devon and East Cornwall, including popular visitor attraction Dartmoor Zoo.
GA Solicitors has proudly sponsored one of the hospice’s roaming lighthouses, painted by renowned local artist, Mrs Murals. Known to many as ‘Little Lukey’ this was the first lighthouse painted and it has already travelled to tens of schools in the city and various other locations to promote the upcoming trail.
Little Lukey will even be visiting GA Solicitors’ Plymouth office for a short while. It will be displayed in its reception area for clients and staff to view, from the 5th to the 12th January 2026.
Katy McKenna, marketing and communications director at GA Solicitors, commented: “We are thrilled to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice and sponsoring this beautiful lighthouse as part of its roaming lighthouse exhibition. GA Solicitors has been a supporter of both the hospice and its events for many years, and this project really stood out to us. It is fun, engaging and has a fantastic family element. The outreach into schools is particularly wonderful.
“We are, of course, also huge fans of Mrs Murals. To have been able to sponsor her lighthouse has made this even more exciting for us. We are so lucky to have such talent in the South West and this project is most definitely a celebration of this talent. A huge thanks goes to St Luke’s for letting us be a part of this amazing project!”
St Luke’s Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist advice and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. It cares for more than 300 patients and their families at any given time. This specialist care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists to patients and their families at home and at its specialist unit in Turnchapel.
Talking of GA Solicitors involvement, Georgina Dyke, Events and Project Manager, said: “We are delighted to once again be supported by GA Solicitors and very much look forward to working alongside them in 2026. Guiding Lights is one of our most ambitious projects to date, and we are thankful to each and every sponsor who gets involved.
“We have been overwhelmed by the interest of artists all over the country, but especially here in our own county. A big thank you to everyone who has supported us. We now look forward to rolling out our plans and seeing the sculptures come to life. Please keep following our Guiding Lights social media channels for further updates.”
