Emma Mumford

Solicitor

I joined GA in 2023 as a trainee solicitor and qualified into the family law team in September 2025.

I graduated from Plymouth University in 2020 with Upper Second-Class Honours, before continuing my studies at the University of Law in Bristol. In 2022, I completed both the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a Master of Laws (LLM), graduating with a distinction.

Through my training contract, I gathered a plethora of experience, particularly in private law, completing seats in wills, trusts and probate, residential conveyancing, and personal injury before finalising my training within the family team.

I now specialise in private family law, which includes divorce, financial arrangements and child arrangements.

Alongside my role, I serve as one of the events & activities officers within the PJLD (Plymouth Junior Lawyers Division).

Outside of work, I am an avid sports enthusiast, particularly football and Formula 1 and a passionate supporter of Manchester United. I also enjoy musicals.
