Solicitor
I am a solicitor in the commercial property team, and I qualified in September 2024 following my two-year training contract with GA Solicitors.
I studied law at Plymouth University and graduated in 2021 with an upper-class honours. After this, I took the Legal Practice Course with a Master’s in Law, Business and Management and graduated in 2022.
My training contract has provided me with experience in different areas of law within GA Solicitors. I gained experience in wills, trusts, probates, personal injury, and commercial property. My favourite department was Commercial Property as I enjoyed the variety of work and building long-standing relationships with professional contacts and clients.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, I have dealt with a variety of Commercial Property matters, but I predominantly work in Development. This includes site acquisition, development agreements, as well as plot sales. I report to clients on titles, searches and contractual documents, and these reports are tailored to the client’s needs and requirements of their project, no matter how big or small.
I have experience in sales and purchases, commercial leases, as well as rural and agricultural work.
I was recently shortlisted as the 2024 Junior Lawyer of the Year with Plymouth Junior Lawyers Division (PJLD). The PJLD is a community of junior lawyers from Plymouth and surrounding areas of Devon who regularly network, socialise and support one another.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, socialising with friends and exploring the South West with my dog.
