Lucy Horswell
Paralegal
I joined GA in January 2023 as a Legal Assistant in the dispute resolution department, and in February 2025, I was pleased to be promoted to a Paralegal position within the personal injury team. In my current role, I assist a busy team of solicitors with a particular focus on Military Noise-Induced Hearing Loss claims.
During my time in the Dispute Resolution department, I gained a broad range of experience, working across both private client and commercial matters. This exposure allowed me to see both sides of legal disputes and develop a well-rounded perspective. With the ongoing support of the firm, I have continued to strengthen my professional skills and deepen my legal understanding.
I hold an LLB (Hons) in Law and Criminology from the University of Plymouth, alongside an extended Diploma in Forensic Science and Criminal Investigations. My academic background has fuelled a long-standing interest in the Personal Injury sector, where I enjoy the combination of scientific and legal analysis that each case demands.
With a background in Residential Landlord and Tenant work from assisting the pro-bono University of Plymouth Law Clinic, I also began working closely with our residential landlord and tenant specialist in order to develop my legal practice skills and litigation experience.
Prior to my work with GA, I obtained a six-month legal internship with a start-up tech company, helping to develop AI chatbot software, drafting privacy policies, working with the ICO in their sandbox programme, and working with the FCA to ensure overall compliance.
