GA introduces sustainable tree planting scheme
We have been shouting for some time now about all the steps we are taking to make the firm more sustainable and how we are looking to both reduce and offset our carbon footprint. It is something we are very passionate about.
This month we put our money where our mouth is, or more accurately, put our money where the trees are!
We have partnered with Ecologi to plant trees all around the world, offsetting our carbon footprint and providing an extra bit of a feel-good factor for our clients.
So far GA has planted more than 1,000 trees worldwide- and the number is growing every week.
Every time a client fills in our online feedback form, we plant a tree and also pay £1 to our charity of the year, PCIP. As online reviews are so important to us, we also plant a tree every time a client leaves a Google review.
Ecologi is an organisation which allows individuals and businesses to take practical action on climate change by planting trees and funding carbon reduction projects. On our behalf, they will plant trees in various locations across the world, helping to combat deforestation and promote biodiversity.
As of today (23rd May 2023) our total stands at 1,152 trees planted.
This is just one way we are trying to make a difference and do our bit. Take a look at our sustainability page to read more about our pledge to Plymouth Plastic Free Directory, the hard work undertaken by our Carbon Reduction Committee and our recent beach clean at Bovisand Beach.
If you are a business looking to ‘go green’ then please also read an article written by Helen Rumford, head of GA Energy. This provides some useful steps to make the unachievable, more achievable. You can find the article here.
A more detailed article about our efforts has also been written by marketing executive, Yasmin Thomas and is available to read here.
