GA is open for business with promotions within its leadership team
Plymouth law firm GA Solicitors has re-opened its office following the lockdown with a series of internal promotions.
The firm has appointed a new Managing Partner, a new Full Equity Partner, a new Junior Equity Partner and a new Finance Director as part of their ongoing plans to be the leading go to law firm in the City offering legal advice to new and existing clients especially at this current time.
David Wallis takes over as Managing Partner having been on the Executive Management Board and Full Equity Partner for a number of years and succeeds Stephen Ramsden in the role. David has been a Partner at GA Solicitors for ten years and previously headed the multi-award winning residential conveyancing team leading the firm to secure a national award for the best residential conveyancing firm in the UK.
James Walsh has been made a Full Equity Partner and sits on the Executive Management Board. James, who is currently President of the Plymouth Law Society, has been a Partner since joining GA in 2016 with over twenty years of experience dealing primarily with asbestos litigation and heads the Industrial Disease Team.
James Peterson, who joined GA in 2006 and is an existing salaried Partner, has been promoted to Junior Equity Partner and will continue to head GA’s expanding company commercial department. James has been involved in a significant number of complex and high-value transactions, particularly in regards to company mergers and acquisitions.
Peter Adams, who joined GA in 2016 as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration and has taken on the new title of Finance Director. This new title is in part as recognition for the strategic part he now plays in the financial management of the firm and sits on the Executive Management Board.
Speaking of the promotions, new Managing Partner David Wallis, commented: “These promotions recognise their dedication, hard work and commitment to GA.
