GA sponsors public art exhibition at Plymouth Court
GA Solicitors is proud to sponsor The Justice Project, an art exhibition by painter Ann Chester King and students from Plymouth College of Art, at the Plymouth Crown and County Court.
The Justice Project was created by His Honour Judge (HHJ) Paul Darlow and HHJ Miranda Robertshaw. Ann Chester King is a painter as well as a registered intermediary that works with vulnerable witnesses in the criminal justice system.
In 2016, Ann made an exhibition called Justice, Let’s Face It that inspired the judges to ask Ann to exhibit her work within the court’s public meeting areas. This is believed to be the first public exhibition of its kind carried out in a UK court building.
Seven students from Plymouth College of Art also volunteered to collaborate by creating new pieces after spending some time in the building during working hours to get familiar with the atmosphere. Some of the pieces within the exhibition are for sale.
The exhibition is open from 12 noon to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, until the 21st of July.
