Law Firm to Support Local Animal Charity
Plymouth law firm, GA Solicitors, has announced that local animal charity, Gables Farm Dogs & Cats Home, will be its nominated charity for the next 12 months.
The charity was voted by the staff members of GA, chosen as it is a local and deserving organisation which helps more than 1000 animals every year.
A number of fundraising events are already planned including a charity auction, bake sale and dress down days. A range of events and activities will take place over the coming months to raise as much as possible.
David Stone, partner of GA Solicitors and supporter of Gables Farm Dogs & Cats home, commented: “As a regular visitor to Gables Farm I was delighted when the team voted for the charity to become the firm’s charity of the year. Corporate social responsibility has become a key aspect of GA and the team fully embraces all aspects of fundraising and some even go so far as to volunteer their time.
“We will be hoping to raise around £2000 for the charity which I know will be a big help towards their high running costs and necessary vets bills.”
Katie Barkell, marketing and fundraising officer for Gables Farm, added: “We rely heavily on donations from individuals and organisations and so to have a firm like GA Solicitors select us as their charity of the year is really fantastic news. The money raised will help us to care for many cats and dogs who find their way to our doors.
“We look forward to working with the team and welcoming them to see the extensive work undertaken and care given.”
With more than 200 years of heritage, GA Solicitors is a leading Plymouth law firm with 78 members of staff offering guidance across seven specialist departments: business; family; employment; dispute resolution; wills, trusts & probate; conveyancing and personal injury.
