Mabe Land Deal Completes
Plymouth based law firm, GA Solicitors, has assisted in the completion of an important land deal between large-scale property developer Taylor Wimpey and Truro based, Westcountry Land.
90 homes are to be built on the 5.5 acre greenfield site in Mabe, near Penryn. 30 of these will be affordable units (33% of the total development), with the remaining 60 available on the open market. A wide range of properties will be created, from smaller one bedroom units to sizeable four-bedroom family homes.
The deal officially completed on Monday 22nd April 2013 and Taylor Wimpey has confirmed it intends to commence work on site immediately, delivering the homes within just two years.
The developer is contributing £470,000 to the local community which will be used to better the village’s public open spaces, improve Mabe School and create a new pedestrian crossing.
John Schuttkacker, director of Westcountry Land, commented: “This is an important development for Mabe, providing some much needed affordable and family housing for the local community.
“We were ably assisted by Gill Akaster Solicitors, ensuring our deal with Taylor Wimpey went as smoothly as possible.”
