Partner Promotion for Lawyer with Promise
Plymouth law firm, GA Solicitors, has promoted Catherine Bailey, an established and experienced private client lawyer, to partner after 14 years with the firm.
Catherine joined GA in 2002 as a legal secretary and has worked hard for more than a decade to achieve a number of legal qualifications and national accreditations. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and one of just a few members of Solicitors for the Elderly in the city. She became a lawyer in 2009 and was made an associate in 2011.
A Dementia Friends Champion, Catherine has provided dementia training to the entire firm and is a trustee of Tavistock Memory Café. With close links to the Tavistock area, Catherine was only last week (1st July) inducted as president of the Rotary Club of Tavistock.
Talking of her promotion, Catherine commented: “GA Solicitors is a modern and growing law firm and I am delighted to have been made a partner at this very exciting time. A firm which actively invests in its staff, GA has supported me throughout all of my studies and career development, investing in my future financially and with time and resource. I now look forward to continuing my development and working alongside the other members of the partnership.”
Stephen Ramsden, managing partner of GA Solicitors, added: “Catherine has made a substantial impression on the firm in her 14 years and we are pleased to invite her to join the partnership. She joined us as a legal secretary and she has gained numerous qualifications and established strong links with local businesses and the wider community, particularly in Tavistock, making her the perfect candidate for partnership.”
With more than 200 years of heritage, GA Solicitors is a leading Plymouth law firm with 77 members of staff offering guidance across seven specialist departments: business; family; employment; dispute resolution; wills, trusts & probate; conveyancing and personal injury.
