Plymouth Law Firm Invests in New Talent
Plymouth law firm, GA Solicitors, has taken on six new team members as it further develops its offering, builds experience in niche sectors and supports the training of a new generation of solicitors.
A new personal injury solicitor joined GA Solicitor’s team in October. Kevin Digby, with more than 12 years’ experience in his field, specialises in serious injury and occupational disease, including work injuries and exposure to harmful substances.
Jack Ross and Cameron Dymond have started their training contracts with GA Solicitors in the wills, trust and probate department, and the employment department. They will be working with various different teams before they qualify as solicitors in two years’ time.
Alex Birch and Maya Barton have joined the residential conveyancing department as paralegal and legal assistant respectively. The busy conveyancing team is expanding to accommodate for the increasing need of their services.
The commercial department is also growing with the recruitment of new paralegal, Clare Foster. She has joined the commercial property team to support our clients with property transactions and commercial finance matters.
Talking of the recruitment, managing partner Stephen Ramsden commented: “GA Solicitors continues to expand its team and recruit new talent. Our trainee programme looks to recruit two LPC graduates every year to support our growth, and secure continuity.
Kevin has been a great addition to our personal injury team, completing our offering for work injuries and Alex, Maya and Clare ensure that the commercial and residential departments run smoothly and all clients get the care and attention that is characteristic of GA Solicitors.”
With more than 200 years of heritage, GA Solicitors is a leading Plymouth law firm with 79 members of staff offering guidance across seven specialist departments: business; family; employment; dispute resolution; wills, trusts & probate; conveyancing and personal injury.

Originally based in Devonport, the firm gets its initials from Thomas Husband Gill who joined the practice in 1875 and later went into partnership with Albert E. Akaster.
Now one of the region’s leading law firms, the 79-strong team at the Lexcel-accredited LLP, conveniently accessible at their Plymouth city centre office, is structured around seven practice areas, each comprising its own specialist department:
