Record number of GA specialists catch the eye of Legal 500 researchers

Multi-sector law firm GA Solicitors has secured its best ever rankings by independent researchers assessing the performance of UK law firms.
The firm has once again been featured in The Legal 500 following feedback from clients, industry professionals (such as accountants, bankers and independent financial advisors) and other law firms on its work over the past 12 months.
GA Solicitors is now ranked for the quality of its work in six areas of the law – the only local firm to rank in all of those categories.
James Peterson and Tony Cusack were recognised for working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses on mergers and acquisitions, management buy ins and restructuring transactions, along with advising on commercial contracts, joint ventures and franchises.
In commercial property, David Stone caught the eye of researchers for his work in commercial landlord and tenant matters whilst Helen Rumford was identified for her expertise in the energy sector.
In employment law Rob Zacal was praised for his “strategic, business-orientated advice and representation in contentious matters” in addition to defending clients in a number of employment tribunal claims.
Researchers also found that: “The family team is exceptional at GA. They show absolute understanding, empathy and respect for clients,” with Michelle Grove and Gloria Dyer noted for their expertise.
“They are professional, approachable, and extremely well qualified to deal with any complicated matters,” was the description for Jonathan Hall, Matthew Rose and Catherine Bailey for their advice on personal tax, trusts and probate matters.
In clinical negligence and personal injury, Matthew Sheather was recognised for leading, “A specialist team of experienced individuals, who are exceptional litigators with an eye for detail. There is little doubt that in Devon and Cornwall this firm is a market leader with talented lawyers,” with James Walsh singled out as, “A local industrial disease specialist, who in that line of work locally is peerless.”
Managing partner David Wallis commented: “These prestigious rankings very much reflect the progress we have made in tough market conditions by continuing to put our clients first. The whole firm is delighted to be recognised and is proud to see more lawyers than ever identified for their exceptional work.”
