GA Solicitors is Absolutely Buzzing!
We are delighted to announce that we have formed another important, local partnership as we continue our efforts to have a positive impact on the environment.
GA Solicitors is now a proud corporate partner of Plymouth social enterprise, Pollenize CIC.
Pollenize was founded in 2018 as an initiative to create better access to beekeeping equipment and local honey. Since then its founders have been fascinated with bees, moths, butterflies, and all pollinators, their crucial role in a healthy planet and most importantly what we can do to protect them.
Through academic partnerships, innovation and AI technology, Pollenize has been developing new ways to track and improve biodiversity so insects can recover and our environment can flourish.
Pollenize has also achieved remarkable success in a variety of insect monitoring solutions, from collecting pollen data from their hives, all the way to creating a stats package that can prescribe a planting solution to improve the biodiversity of your site.
Why is this so important?
Recent studies across Europe have found that insect numbers have declined by as much as 75% due to loss of habitat through urbanisation, agriculture, and the use of harmful chemicals. This is a shockingly high statistic so we wanted to do our bit and offer some support.
How will GA Solicitors help?
GA’s sponsorship will actively support ongoing research, including the establishment of data- gathering beehives (apiaries) stocked with European Dark Honeybees.
The sponsorship will also support future and important community involvement and help with its most recent initiative, Hornet AI. This is designed to detect Asian hornets which pose a significant threat to local wildlife and crops and must be removed as soon as they are discovered.
Why did we get involved?
We at GA Solicitors are constantly looking at new ways to not only reduce our carbon footprint, but also to have a positive impact on the environment. Pollenize helps us to achieve this, as well as also providing some extra (and pretty cool) benefits for our team:
- During peak season, GA staff will be able to take part in beekeeping experiences with our new sponsored hive
- We will have access to local urban honey
- Access to seeds, and their rewilding map (tracking planted seed packets via a QR code so people can see where other are planting in the city and beyond )
- CSR opportunities to volunteer in data collecting through Pollenize’s apiary network
Our partnership with Pollenize represents just one facet of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact and contributing to sustainability. You can explore our sustainability page here to delve deeper into our dedication, including our pledge to the Plymouth Plastic Free Directory, and our important tree planting scheme.

GA Solicitors is also proudly now included in The Legal 500 Green Guide thanks to all of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and support initiatives and organisations such as Pollenize and Ecologi. We are open to hearing from any other likeminded business on ideas they have on how we can continue with our sustainability journey and which could help us with our endeavours.
