‘Solicitors for the Elderly’ to change its name to ‘The Association of Lifetime Lawyers’
Two of GA Solicitors’ senior staff members in the wills, trusts and probate department are longstanding members of established organisation, Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). The membership organisation is focused on training and supporting specialist lawyers who support and advise vulnerable and older people.
Founded in 1996, Solicitors for the Elderly has recently announced a change of name to The Association of Lifetime Lawyers. This is to better highlight the vital support offered by such lawyers to members to the public.
The re-brand follows a detailed 12-month review by the organisation. Lakshmi Turner, chief executive, is quoted in the Law Gazette as saying: ‘SFE is 27 years old. Whilst our mission and the commitment of our members has stayed the same, a lot has also changed since then. We needed to think about our name and the way we describe ourselves so the people who need our members most, know we’re here. It’s time for SFE to enter a new stage of its lifetime.
‘Moving to The Association of Lifetime Lawyers acknowledges that our members are the most qualified lawyers in the country when it comes to supporting clients throughout their lifetime, however complicated their circumstances are.’
This change in name will have no impact in regards to the day-to-day running of the organisation and also to the service we provide you as our clients. Our membership and accreditations will continue to be held and the services we provide will remain in line with the expected high levels of specialist expertise expected.
The name change from Solicitors for the Elderly to The Association of Lifetime Lawyers comes into effect this September. From this point, you may see some changes on our website as we update our logos, badges and accreditations with their new branding.
