GA Energy appoints Morgan Lloyd

South West law firm GA Solicitors has boosted the capacity of its dedicated energy team in Bath with the appointment of a new lawyer.
Morgan Lloyd has joined GA Energy from a large law firm in Bristol having qualified in 2021. Prior to that, he studied law at Swansea University before completing the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University.
With experience in litigation and contractual work, Morgan will be carrying out due diligence work relating to solar, wind, energy from waste and battery projects. He will also be advising clients on heads of terms, options to lease land, and grant cable rights for energy generation and storage projects.
He joins a growing GA Energy team advising developers, asset managers, investors, landowners and community groups on site acquisitions, maximising asset values, property finance and project acquisition and disposal work.
Commenting on the news, Helen Rumford, Partner and Head of GA Energy, said: “Morgan joins us at a time when our advice is in increased demand from clients throughout the UK who are involved in renewable energy generation and storage projects to help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and meet the targets set at COP26. He is a very welcome addition to our specialist team.”
