Caitlin Johns
Paralegal
I joined GA Solicitors in November 2022 as a Legal Assistant and was promoted to a Paralegal in January 2024, working under the supervision of Andrew Wonnacott to provide support to the Care Team. I graduated from Plymouth University in 2021 with a law degree, and I am currently studying with CILEX via the Graduate Entry Scheme, which allows me to begin my studies at the Advanced Paralegal Stage.
In my role as a Paralegal, I am actively involved in the daily operations of Public Family Law cases. My experience includes assisting clients, drafting statements, collaborating with external agencies and local professionals, and providing courtroom support to vulnerable clients. I also represent my own clients during Pre-Proceedings (PLO) matters. I have extensive experience in working with interpreters and addressing issues related to Honour-Based Abuse. This expertise stems from my previous role as an Immigration and Refugee Support Worker with the British Red Cross, where I assisted vulnerable clients in difficult situations. Through this experience, I have developed valuable skills that allow me to provide a compassionate and efficient service to our clients.
I will be gaining further experience in both Public and Private Family Law matters by assisting Cameron Dymond.
- Special mention is due to Caitlin who has been unfailingly efficient, diligent and thorough in her management and oversight of the client’s case, keeping both me and the client informed and updated all the way through, and responding swiftly to any actions when requested.
- I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you, Mark, and the rest of your team. It has truly been an honour to work with you. Over the past seven difficult months, I have received immense support from you. I felt that you were friends, not just solicitors representing me. Sadly, I came to know you during the most painful period of my life, but even so, you have been wonderful — patient, wise, and kind.
- Caitlin Johns has been exceptionally supportive, professional, and understanding throughout my PLO case. She explained everything clearly, kept me updated at every stage, and always made sure I understood my rights and options. Her approach was both compassionate and confident, which really helped me feel reassured during a very stressful time. She went above and beyond to represent my interests and always responded promptly to my questions or concerns. I couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer.
