Caitlin Johns
Paralegal
I joined GA Solicitors in 2022 as a Legal Assistant before being promoted to a Paralegal in 2024, working under the supervision of Andrew Wonnacott, to provide support to the Care Team. I graduated from Plymouth University in 2021 with a law degree and have since progressed to CILEX via the Graduate Entry Scheme. The Graduate Scheme allows me to begin my studies at the Advanced Paralegal Stage.
In my role as a paralegal, I am heavily involved in the daily operations of Public Family Law cases. My experience lies in aiding clients, drafting statements, collaborating with external agencies such as Cafcass, and Plymouth Highbury Trust, and managing all administrative responsibilities for the Care Team’s caseloads. Additionally, I provide courtroom support for vulnerable clients when needed.
I enjoy helping others through volunteering, and previously worked as a Support Worker at the British Red Cross, aiding vulnerable clients in challenging circumstances. Through this experience, I acquired valuable skills that allow me to deliver an empathetic, yet efficient service to our clients.
I will be gaining further experience by assisting Andrew Wonnacott, Mark Mears and Angela Timbrell.
- Special mention is due to Caitlin who has been unfailingly efficient, diligent and thorough in her management and oversight of the client’s case, keeping both me and the client informed and updated all the way through, and responding swiftly to any actions when requested.
