I am a partner in the personal injury department, with primary responsibility for accidents at work (known as employers’ liability claims) and a specialist interest in claims arising from exposure to chemicals and biological hazards at work. I will also handle claims arising in other circumstances involving serious life-changing injuries. 

Since 2006 I have worked for trade union members in the South West, London and all over England. I have advised on cases ranging from simple accidents and straightforward injuries in the workplace, to exposure to chemicals, sanitisers, dusts, viruses, bacteria and biological hazards. I have worked for construction workers, fabricators, welders, manufacturing workers, textile workers, firefighters, cleaners, nurses, health care assistants, paramedics and office workers.

I have dealt with a range of diseases such as occupational asthma, occupational dermatitis, cancers, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), deafness and long COVID, due to COVID being caught in the workplace. I enjoy the challenging aspects of employers’ liability claims, the regulatory framework and the fight with the insurers working for employers.

Being based in Plymouth and close to HMNB Drake/ Devonport Dockyard / Princess Yachts I have developed a speciality in injuries and diseases arising from the workplace. I have also dealt with many claims for armed forces and civilian personnel, both on ships at sea and on base from the build phase of the ships to use at sea and repairs on base. I am happy to take on these claims and have conducted claims in the Admiralty Court for accidents and diseases occurring whilst at sea.

In my spare time I am a keen cyclist and occasionally run and swim too. As a cyclist, I am also happy to take on claims for cyclists and triathletes injured when commuting, training and racing.
