Regional Law Firm Recognised by Three National Legal Platforms
South West law firm, GA Solicitors, is celebrating after securing recognition from The Legal 500, Chambers UK and The Law Society all within a matter of weeks.
Global legal researcher, Chambers & Partners, has today (19th October) recognised GA Solicitors in its UK edition, with the firm highly ranked for its expertise in the fields of family and matrimonial, personal injury and corporate mergers and acquisitions. In addition, the report identified ‘Leaders in Their Fields’ with James Peterson, Tony Cusack, Andrew Wonnacott, Gloria Dyer, Michelle Grove and Matthew Sheather all being highlighted.
Renowned legal directory, The Legal 500, also launched earlier this month and the firm saw an incredible seven departments ranked, as well as 15 individuals recommended or highlighted. This result follows months of extensive, independent research with feedback provided by clients, industry professionals and other law firms. The departments ranked were: company commercial, employment, family, real estate, personal injury, wills, trusts and probate and GA Energy.
These successes follow the firm’s re-accreditation by Lexcel, the Law Society’s quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. The report highlighted 34 areas of good practice, where the firm exceeds the standards that the Lexcel accreditation requires. Particularly noted were the firm’s CSR activities and charitable support, “exceptionally efficient processes of information management” and the firm’s “good internal communications and firm-wide teamwork.”
Commenting on these successes, GA Solicitors’ managing partner David Wallis, said: “Each year we have seen significant improvements in both our legal rankings and our Lexcel feedback. This is testament to the hard work of the team and the high levels of legal and client service provided to our clients in all areas.
“The legal sector is incredibly competitive, both in regards to securing clients, but also in recruiting and retaining staff. By providing strong legal advice alongside a people-focused approach, we are very much beating the trend and increasing staff numbers and referrer and client relationships.
This is an exciting time for the firm and I would like to thank all staff at GA for their hard work, dedication and input.”
GA Solicitors in Plymouth has been established for more than 200 years and opened a second office in Bath in 2019. It now employs 93 members of staff across its two offices.
