GA Solicitors ranked in The Legal 500
A record number of lawyers at South West law firm, GA Solicitors, have been recognised by independent researchers assessing the performance of UK law firms.
GA Solicitors has once again been featured in The Legal 500 following feedback from clients, industry professionals (such as accountants, bankers and independent financial advisors) and other law firms on its work over the past 12 months.
Thirteen specialists at the firm have been singled out this year with Lucy Foster, Angela Timbrell, Andrew Wonnacott and Kevin Digby all receiving recognition for the first time. GA Solicitors is now ranked for the quality of its work in five areas of the law – the only local firm to rank in all of those categories.
In commercial property, David Stone caught the eye of researchers for his work in commercial landlord and tenant matters whilst Lucy Foster was mentioned for her expertise in secured lending. Researchers noted: “Practical legal advice in the commercial team for a national lender, excellent communication and high level of experience in a wide range of property law”.
In employment law Rob Zacal was praised for providing his support on redundancies, furlough and other Covid-19 related matters.
Researchers discovered glowing praise for GA’s family law team: “I found all members of the team to be friendly and helpful. They came across as non-judgmental and compassionate, the utmost professionals,” with Michelle Grove, Gloria Dyer, Andrew Wonnacott and Angela Timbrell all noted for their expertise.
‘Many legal firms struggle to give good service, but GA never fails in this area. They share our values of striving to deliver first-class customer service at a competitive price. GA Solicitors is an excellent firm who we would not hesitate to recommend to our clients,” was the feedback for Jonathan Hall, Matthew Rose and Catherine Bailey for their advice on personal tax, trusts and probate matters.
In clinical negligence and personal injury: “GA operates a team of specialist solicitors who are all exceptional at what they do. Matthew Sheather is a man for detail and for a fight on the hardest of claims. James Walsh stands out in the South West for his industrial disease work. Kevin Digby brings enormous experience to the team in terms of employers’ liability claims.”
Speaking of the success, managing partner, David Wallis, commented: “We’re delighted to have a record number of lawyers and solicitors ranked this year and significant congratulations go to Lucy, Angela, Andrew and Kevin on being recognised for the first time.
“It is particularly pleasing to see our style of advice recognised by clients and commentators which so closely reflect our values. Despite a tumultuous 12 months our commitment to client service has never wavered and this is demonstrated by the feedback from The Legal 500 research team.”
