National Recognition Three Times Over at Regional Law Firm
GA Solicitors, a regional law firm with offices in Plymouth and Bath, is celebrating after being recognised by three national bodies: The Legal 500, Chambers & Partners and The Law Society.
Renowned legal directory, The Legal 500, launched earlier this month and ranked a record eight departments from the firm, as well as 20 individuals who were recommended or highlighted. This result follows months of extensive, independent research with feedback provided by clients, industry professionals and other law firms. The departments ranked were: company commercial, employment, family, real estate, commercial litigation, personal injury, wills, trusts and probate and energy.
Global legal researcher, Chambers & Partners, has today (15th October) recognised GA Solicitors in its UK edition, with the firm highly ranked for its expertise in the fields of family and matrimonial, personal injury and corporate mergers and acquisitions. In addition, the report identified ‘Leaders in Their Fields’ with James Peterson, Tony Cusack, Andrew Wonnacott, Gloria Dyer, Michelle Grove and Matthew Sheather all being highlighted.
This Chambers success follows that of the previously launched High Net Worth edition where GA’s private client team was ranked as the only Band One team in Plymouth, with Jonathan Hall, Matthew Rose and Catherine Bailey all individually highlighted.
These ranking successes follow the firm’s re-accreditation by Lexcel, the Law Society’s quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. The report, which was the result of an intense four day audit at the end of September, highlighted an impressive 16 areas of good practice, where the firm exceeded the standards that the Lexcel accreditation expects. Particularly noted were the firm’s efforts to be “open minded and welcoming” and having in place “many areas of good human resource management practice”.
Commenting on these successes, GA Solicitors’ managing partner Rob Zacal, said: “Each year we have continued to see significant improvements in both our legal rankings and Lexcel feedback. This is testament to the hard work of our specialist teams, the high level of service provided to our clients and our continued investment into our people, technology and processes.
“Our Lexcel was audit was very thorough, with the auditor looking through every area of the business from compliance and client care, through to staffing and how we support our people. We were delighted with the report and to see that all our efforts have been recognised.
“Similarly, the legal market remains very competitive and to be ranked so highly by both The Legal 500 and Chambers is fantastic. Client and peer feedback is a crucial aspect of their research and so a huge congratulations goes to all those ranked and highlighted.”
