Record showing for GA in Top Legal Guides
South West law firm GA Solicitors has secured its best ever rankings across the two major guides to the legal profession – Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
More of the firm’s lawyers than ever before have been identified for the quality of their work by expert researchers. This includes feedback from clients, industry professionals (such as accountants, bankers and independent financial advisors) and other law firms on its work over the past 12 months.
Seventeen specialists at the firm have been singled out in the latest editions of the guides with GA Solicitors now ranked for their expertise in seven areas of the law – the only local firm to rank in all of those categories.
In Corporate & Commercial, James Peterson and Tony Cusack secured band one ranking in Chambers for their work with SMEs and owner managed companies in the region with researchers citing: “They have a good, well-balanced mix of solicitors offering every aspect of legal work, which ensures that clients are catered for under one roof.”
Employment law experts Rob Zacal and Kayleigh Arthurs were described by Legal 500 as offering: “First-class response, excellent knowledge and advice.”
In Energy, Helen Rumford drew plaudits from a client in Legal 500 who said she has: “Provided us with excellent, considered and balanced legal advice over the years that she has been working with us. She is notable in her ability to work with other solicitors to ensure that matters are resolved swiftly and smoothly,” with disputes partner Ieuan Jones acknowledged for his work in the sector.
The firm’s Family law team was once again ranked as the top firm in Plymouth by Chambers with Michelle Grove and Gloria Dyer named in the top category of leaders in their field with Andrew Wonnacott ranked as ‘up and coming’. Researchers said: “GA is a really good firm in the South West who are comfortable handling complex work, and are instructed by central London clients as they provide good value whilst competing in quality with the firms in that area.”
Our personal injury team has once again secured rankings in both guides with Matthew Sheather, James Walsh and Kevin Digby identified for their expertise in clinical negligence, workplace accidents and industrial disease.
In Property David Stone, Tony Dupreez and Lucy Foster all received recognition with the Legal 500 describing the team as: “Pragmatic, problem-solving approach to all they do. Everything was done timely. Time and communication can concentrate on the issues of the greatest complexity safe in the mind that all else will be taken care of well.”
Our Wills, Trusts and Tax team are again ranked in band one for high net worth clients in Chambers with Jonathan Hall and Matthew Rose ranked as the top lawyers in Plymouth in their field whilst securing another ranking in the Legal 500.
GA’s Managing Partner David Wallis commented:
“Our performance over the past few years has been consistently strong so it is great to see it recognised by comprehensive independent research. Well done to everyone at the firm who has contributed to our highest ever showing across both guides.”
